physical therapy brings many factors into the rehab. There
are emotional, social and economic factors that play a large
part in the rehab success. Physical therapist become emotional
therapists for those patients that need them to and work to
help them reach their goals in physical therapy rehabilitation.
Muscle retaining, balance and posture are significant goals
for therapists with these patients.
The Therapy Network has three therapists that devote a great deal of time to treating and understanding the physical needs of amputees. Two therapists work with a
local physician once a week in an amputee clinic. These are dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to ensure everyday successes for their patients.
