Elaine was born in Pennsylvania and moved to the Tidewater area in 1987 to be close to family. Elaine has been with The Therapy Network for 10 years and has
served most of that time at TTN’s Chesapeake clinics. Elaine is married and has two children. She keeps very busy in her clinic seeing a majority of orthopedic
patients and specializes in spine rehabilitation.

in August 2009 and has been working hard to Raise the Standard of Physical Therapy in
Hampton Roads. Lynn recently earned her McKenzie certification for mechanical diagnosis.
McKenzie is a method of diagnosis and treatment of neck and back pain and dysfunction with
precise diagnosis and progressive treatment including thorough patient education. Lynn brings

Laurie Johnson, PT

Laurie is one of the founders of The Therapy Network. Born and raised in Massachusetts, after she earned her degree she spent 5 years working in a local hospital
setting. She then relocated to the Tidewater area and spent the next few years working in an outpatient orthopedic practice. She has served as a clinical director
in many different clinics of The Therapy Network as they were in their start up phases. Laurie developed specialist skills in treating both chronic and acute
spinal conditions, to include headaches and soft tissue injuries. Laurie serves as a consultant to TTN staff therapists on challenging non-responsive conditions.
Laurie coordinates Continuing Education for the therapists and is a key player in physical therapist recruitment. She enjoys volleyball, but after 20 years of
passionate play, she spends most of her spare time with her children.

Paul arrived in Tidewater during Hurricane Floyd in 1999. He found himself with The Therapy Network and has worked primarily from the Kingsborough office. Paul
likes sports and is quite an aficionado of sports trivia. Paul works with the Outreach department of TTN at HRSC soccer games and RUSH soccer games as a certified
athletic trainer.

Robert Maroon, PT

Robert Maroon is one of the founding members of The Therapy Network. Originally from Niagara Falls, New York, he came to Virginia Beach in 1987 and started
at The Therapy Network’s Ghent office, then known as Ghent Physical Therapy. He quickly set up TTN’s multiple clinics using his PT expertise and
created the standards TTN still follows today. Robert specializes in Spine Therapy, utilizing the McKenzie method of spine evaluation and treatment. Robert is
well known in the Hampton Roads Community for his continued work with difficult spine cases and his high outcomes with those patients. Robert has done work with
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and remains a devout supporter of that charity. He has four children. Robert enjoys golf, basketball and live music.

Jack originally comes from the Midwest. After finishing his first degrees, Jack was the Wellness Program Coordinator and Exercise Physiologist in the Cardiac
Rehabilitation program at St. Catherine Hospital in Indiana for two years. He went to the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine as an instructor and director
of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program for seven years. After graduation, he worked briefly in a community acute care hospital until moving to Cleveland in 1989.
Jack moved to the Tidewater area with his wife in 1995. His Physical Therapy interests include shoulder, hip and knee injuries, and Jack has worked to coordinate
the amputee program at the Ghent office.

Peter is one of the founders of The Therapy Network. Peter is a transplant from New England, born in the smallest state in the union (Rhode Island). Peter and
his wife, Deborah, relocated to Virginia after graduating from college. Industrial rehabilitation has always been his special interest. He was the program coordinator
for the first CARF (Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accredited work hardening program in Tidewater. Peter has participated in the University
of Michigan’s summer engineering program for ergonomics, as well as numerous courses in industrial rehabilitation. Peter is recognized as an expert witness
and has testified in most of the local municipalities. Peter has always had an attraction to the ocean and water in general. If he is not working, you can find
him yelling for his kids on the sidelines or out on the bay.

Erik is one of the founding members of The Therapy Network. As a native from The Netherlands he moved to the United States in 1987 and started his career at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA. After receiving his Manual Therapy Certification in 1989 under world renowned Stanley Paris, PhD, P.T. he relocated to Virginia Beach, VA, to become the clinical program director of a physical therapy clinic. In 1991 he started at Ghent Physical Therapy which later became part of The Therapy Network. He holds a teaching position in the Doctorate Physical Therapy program at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA since 1995 and is an APTA certified clinical instructor. Erik initiated and developed the sports medicine program for the first semi-pro soccer team in Hampton Roads (the Hurricanes).
In 2006, Erik became one of the first three physical therapists in the United States to complete the Travell seminar program in Bethesda, MD and completed Dr. Chan Gunn’s IMS Certification in Vancouver, BC. Both are myofascial and needling programs. He is currently on teaching faculty and a certification examiner with Myopain Seminars.
As a promoter of the art and science of manual therapy as a specialty within physical therapy, he is passionate about teaching and presenting a variety of topics to his patients, the medical community and the public. He devotes much time and effort to continuing education and takes several courses each year in the USA and abroad. Because Erik is always looking for new and better ways to treat patients, he remains on the forefront of utilizing new treatment approaches and techniques. He is active in national and international organizations of manual therapy. Erik’s subspecialties within physical therapy are manual therapy, the treatment of pain and dysfunction of myofascial origin, and sports medicine. He is particularly interested in the many and diverse head and neck manifestations of myofascial dysfunctions of the head, neck, and shoulder musculature.
Erik is the clinic director of TTN’s Kempsville clinic in Virginia Beach, Va. He continues to see patients on a full time basis.
