
Brian Hemmis, PT, DPT
Brian, a Richmond, Virginia native, earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Exercise Science from Old Dominion University before completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at ODU. He joined The Therapy Network in 2024 after working in a skilled nursing facility, where he gained valuable experience in patient care. Brian has a special interest in treating endurance athletes, focusing on ankle and shoulder rehabilitation, as well as post-stroke recovery and amputee care. He is actively pursuing his dry needling certification and continues to expand his expertise in manual therapy techniques to better serve his patients. Outside the clinic, Brian stays active playing softball, trail running, exercising, and playing Bingo. He also values quality time with family and friends. Fun fact: Brian was the AAU Junior Olympic champion in jump rope in 1999!
