Mark R. Winters

Dr. Mark R. Winters followed graduation from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine with a residency in Family Medicine at VCU, serving as Chief Resident in his third year.  He enjoyed a 36 yr career practicing Family Medicine here, culminating in him being named the “2019 Virginia Beach Physician of the Year”.  A serious injury resulted in him transitioning to become a Medical Director for Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group, the largest physician owned and managed medical group in Virginia, which he helped expand six-fold in the past 18 years.  As a long term patient of TTN, he credits Drs Lauren Stacy and Amanda Dowdy and their Hilltop and Kempsville staffs with saving his leg and the chance to preserve his athletic lifestyle.  Dr Winters considers serving TTN as a Board member a “distinct honor and a wonderful opportunity to thank a great health care team”.
