Neurologic Conditions Treated

Physical therapy focuses on the ability to move one’s body. Neurologic physical therapy treats patients with conditions affecting the brain, movement, and the vestibular system.

How common are neurologic conditions?

  • Over 42 million Americans suffer from movement disorders.
  • 1.6 to 3.8 million Americans suffer a concussion each year.
  • 69 million Americans have a vestibular or balance issue in their lifetime.

Neurologic physical therapy improves mobility and helps patients perform day-to-day tasks. At The Therapy Network, our team of therapy specialists provides customized programs to support patients with the following neurologic conditions:

The Therapy Network introduced a dedicated balance and concussion center to expand patient care in 2022. This center, as well as the six Therapy Network locations, provides neurologic physical therapy.

“We are incredibly excited to be able to bring together some of Coastal Virginia’s most experienced and respected Pain Management and Balance/Concussion physical therapy specialists to continue to raise the standard of physical therapy outcomes in our aging patient populations,” said Michael Pederson, PTA – Clinic Director

This specialized center is open from 7 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and is conveniently located near Sentara Leigh hospital at 171 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, VA. To make an appointment, please call 757-351-6020

Appointments are available today at any of the TTN locations. The Therapy Network locations are in Hampton, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake, Virginia.
